In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement.

100% of your contribution will support Susan G. Komen’s Bold Goal. Of the funds raised through project:OM, 50% will go to support national research efforts. The other 50% stays in your community (where the funds were raised), and will be used for local prevention and support programs.
Examples of local prevention and support programs include:
One-on-one and group education sessions that share breast self-awareness messages
Free or low-cost services, transportation, care coordination, patient navigation, financial assistance for those receiving breast cancer treatment
Free or low-cost clinical breast exams and mammograms
