How does using my HSA/FSA save me money?
HSA/FSA accounts were created so individuals could use pre-tax money to pay for expenses used to treat, mitigate, or prevent a diagnosed medical condition.
Because HSA/FSA use pre-tax money, you're getting more purchasing power for your dollars. Rather than pay taxes on income and then spend it on health items, qualified customers can use pre-tax funds to invest in root cause interventions.
Who is Truemed?
At Truemed, we believe that investing in your health is far more valuable than waiting to spend on sickness. By unlocking pre-tax HSA/FSA spend on research backed interventions such as fitness, supplements, and health technology, we're shifting healthcare spend toward true medicine.

Freqently Asked Questions
How much will I save with Truemed?Â
When you use your HSA or FSA card, you’re paying with pre-tax dollars, which can lower your overall cost depending on your individual tax rate.Â
On average, customers save around 30%.*Â
It’s important to note: this isn’t a discount on the product itself. You’re paying full price at checkout, and the savings come from the tax advantage of your HSA/FSA account.Â

I don’t have an HSA/FSA accountÂ
Truemed is available to customers with HSA or FSA accounts.Â
If you’re interested in using these benefits, it may be worth checking with your employer or benefits provider to see if you’re eligible to enroll. Most plans open enrollment at specific times during the year.Â
I don’t see the Truemed option at checkoutÂ
If Truemed isn’t showing up, a few things could be happening:Â
- A discount code is applied. Truemed is not available on orders with discounts.Â
- You may be signed into Shop Pay. Try logging out and checking out as a guest insteadÂ
- The product(s) in your cart may not be eligible for HSA/FSA useÂ
- You may be shopping on a third-party site (Truemed is only available on our website)Â
If you’re checking out on our site and believe your item should be eligible, you can reach out to support@truemed.com with the product name.Â
Where is my Letter of Medical Necessity?Â
After completing the clinical intake form, your Letter of Medical Necessity will be available in your Truemed dashboard.Â
Most are issued within a few hours, but it can take up to 1–2 business days.Â

Why wasn’t I approved?Â
Eligibility is determined by an independent clinician based on the health information you provided.Â
For questions about your qualification outcome, please contact support@truemed.com.Â
My HSA/FSA card was declinedÂ
Card declines are usually related to your account.Â
You may want to:Â
- Check your HSA/FSA account balanceÂ
- Confirm your card is activated and not expiredÂ
- Contact your card provider for more detailsÂ
You can also complete your purchase with a regular card and submit for reimbursement using your LMN and receipt.Â
If the issue persists, please contact support@truemed.com.
Why is only part of my order eligible?Â
Some items in your order may be eligible for HSA/FSAÂ use, while others are not.Â
Truemed identifies which products qualify and separates the eligible portion of your order. Your LMN and receipt will show which items can be submitted for reimbursement.Â
Can I split my payment between my HSA/FSA card and a regular card?Â
Yes. You can use Truemed’s Split Pay feature to divide your purchase between your HSA/FSA card and a regular card.Â
 This is helpful if:Â
- Your HSA/FSA balance doesn’t cover the full amountÂ
- Your order includes both eligible and ineligible itemsÂ
How do I get reimbursed?Â
If you paid with a regular card, you can submit your Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) and receipt to your HSA/FSA administrator for reimbursement.Â
Each provider has a slightly different process, but it typically involves uploading your documents into the claims section through their portal.Â
If you need help, Truemed’s support team is available at support@truemed.com.Â
