At the midpoint of our seven-part chakra series, we arrive at Anāhata, the heart chakra. This fourth chakra bridges the physical and the spiritual realms, linking the lower three chakras with the upper three.
The fourth chakra, Anāhata, resides at the center of the chest and represents the seat of love, compassion, and emotional balance.
Meaning & Symbolism
Anāhata translates as “unstruck” or “unbroken,” referencing a cosmic sound that exists without two things striking. It symbolizes unconditional and infinite love, arising freely from within, independent of circumstance.
Element & Physical Connection
The element of air governs this chakra, connecting it to the lungs, heart, and circulatory system. It influences vitality, breath, and our ability to give and receive love.
