In the heart of Santa Clarita, California, Thermal Horizons Yoga & Wellness Center stands as a sanctuary of healing, connection, and growth. Co-founded by partners Jaime Annett and Ben Benedetti, the studio is a heartfelt reflection of their shared mission: to create a space where all are welcome to breathe deeply, move intentionally, and heal wholly. Guided by love, lived experience, and a deep reverence for community, Jaime and Ben have cultivated an inclusive haven rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern wellness.
Where Vision Meets Heart
Jaime and Ben were united in grief as they faced the heartbreaking reality of Jaime’s mother, Joanne, battling stage 4 ovarian cancer. But amidst the pain, they found a shared purpose: creating a legacy of holistic wellness that would serve not only Joanne but countless others seeking a safe, healing space. “Hope, like the undying love between a mother and daughter, remains.”
Thermal Horizons, their dream, is the direct manifestation of the beauty Jaime experienced in her childhood. It is a space where Joanne’s joyous spirit would live on, and her legacy would be celebrated daily. “We would lay on the floor together, just like when I was a little girl,” Jaime recalls, “and we’d talk about what this place could be, down to the tiniest detail.” In those moments, amidst the uncertainty of her mother’s fight, Jaime and Ben conceived every aspect of the vision that would become Thermal Horizons.
“My inspiration is leaving this earth,” Jaime reflects, “but what we made together will remain—and continue to serve the community we love.”
Thermal Horizons was built on one simple truth that both Jaime and Ben held closely: “People are sick and tired of being sick and tired,” Jaime says. “And they’re more open to the idea that health and wellness doesn’t have to look the same for everyone.” In that spirit, Thermal Horizons offers an inclusive, nurturing environment where people can heal, hope, and simply be.
A Culture of Kindness
Step through the doors of Thermal Horizons, and you’ll feel it—a palpable sense of peace and belonging. Students return again and again for the studio’s signature spaciousness, thoughtful programming, and most importantly, its commitment to kindness. With class sizes intentionally designed to give students space to breathe, as well as immersive sound healing baths, private sessions, and a serene meditation lounge, the studio is a holistic sanctuary.
Jaime and Ben believe that every student is on a journey of their own. The studio provides tools, teachings, and support to help individuals meet themselves where they are—and feel empowered to grow.
Partners in Practice
For Jaime and Ben, yoga is more than movement. It’s a lifelong commitment to healing, presence, and purpose. Jaime first turned to yoga as a child to correct severe misalignment of the feet, and over the years, it became the foundation for her personal and professional life. As a yoga teacher and sound healer, she now shares those practices with others, infusing every class with compassion and intention.
Ben’s path, on the other hand, was born out of necessity after suffering a severe back injury. After two extensive surgeries, yoga offered him both physical relief and a new path forward. Now, Ben teaches yoga philosophy on the mat, advocating for inner transformation through mindful movement.
Growing with Purpose
The process of building Thermal Horizons has been both personal and profound. What began as a shared dream has blossomed into a community hub for wellness, creativity, and connection. And it’s still evolving. In January 2025, the studio expanded into an additional 5,000 square feet, creating new opportunities for students to relax, recharge, and connect.
From the Dharma Spot tea lounge to cozy reading corners and soundscapes that ground you in nature, the expanded space is more than an upgrade—it’s an invitation to deepen your relationship with yourself and your community. Folk and Native American artwork, curated with care, reflects the studio’s respect for tradition, culture, and the healing power of beauty.
Community Commitment
Thermal Horizons is more than just a place for physical practice—it’s a hub for making a positive difference in the community. At the heart of everything they do is the belief that wellness is not just an individual journey but a collective one. By offering affordable classes, donation-based workshops, and scholarships, Jaime and Ben strive to make holistic healing accessible to all.
They also collaborate with local healers, educators, and organizations to provide support for veterans, trauma survivors, and those navigating mental health challenges. “We want this to be more than just a studio,” Jaime says. “We want it to be a gathering place, a center for growth, a source of healing.”
Built on kindness, acceptance, and compassion, the studio is intentionally inclusive—welcoming people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. It’s a place where healing ripples outward, helping individuals find balance and peace they can carry into the world.
Reflections
As both teachers and business owners, Jaime and Ben understand the importance of maintaining personal practice amidst the demands of leadership. “Your own practice is what fuels your ability to give,” they share. Setting boundaries, cultivating self-compassion, and staying rooted in purpose helps them lead with clarity and heart.
Their advice for new studio owners? Nurture your vision, but don’t forget to nurture yourself. “With a clear vision, strong team, and commitment to the client experience, you can create a sanctuary that helps both you and your community thrive.”

A Living Legacy
Thermal Horizons is a living, breathing extension of Jaime’s mother’s light. It’s also a reflection of Jaime and Ben’s devotion—to each other, to their students, and to the idea that healing is possible for everyone. In a world that often feels fractured and fast-moving, this studio invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect.
As Jaime puts it, “This is more than a business to us. It’s a living, breathing embodiment of everything we believe in.”
