Can you tell us about your retreat location? What makes it a special destination for hosting group experiences?
Nestled in 130 hectares of preserved forest just 40 minutes south of Lisbon and 15 minutes from the beach, Casas Na Ferraria is a sanctuary of timeless beauty and quiet luxury. It’s a family estate where architecture, nature, and heritage coexist in harmony. What makes it unique is the sense of rootedness in the land, the regenerative philosophy, and the elegance of restored traditional Portuguese houses that invite deep rest, reconnection, and transformation.
What kind of atmosphere or feeling do you aim to create for your guests and retreat hosts?
We cultivate an atmosphere of authentic connection, slow living, and deep regeneration. Our guests often describe the feeling as being "held by nature," supported by meaningful design, silence, and care. Our intention is to create a sense of being truly at home, yet gently elevated. We call this quiet luxury — a refined, grounding experience that invites stillness and presence.
What inspired you to open your space for retreats and group gatherings?
In 2015, we began hosting regenerative programs that sparked our vision: to share this space of healing and reconnection with others. Rooted in authenticity and sustainability, we were inspired by the idea that this land could be a vessel for regeneration — of the body, the spirit, and the Earth.
How do you curate your retreats and wellness experiences?
While each retreat is curated by the facilitator themselves, our team offers support to help craft meaningful, nature-connected experiences rooted in our philosophy of regeneration and quiet luxury.
Do you have any upcoming retreats, special events, or seasonal offerings you’d like to share with our community?
We host retreats year-round in collaboration with experienced facilitators from around the world. Spring and autumn are particularly beloved seasons, offering mild weather and rich natural beauty. To support off-season gatherings, we offer special rates in March, April, and November — a perfect time for intimate, deeply nourishing retreats.
