The Manduka eKO mat is the real deal! I feel stronger, prouder, and more powerful just holding it, not to mention practicing on it. My downward dog will never slip again!

Thank you so much for this mat. I love the fact that it is eco-conscious and in resonance with the Spirit of Yoga. I also love practicing on this mat - it has a texture that is just perfect in terms of padding, buoyancy, firmness and stickiness. Bravo!! Only set back for me was the smell, but after a few months, it is slowly getting less offensive.

The eKO mat exceeded my expectations. It gives me confidence being able to forget about the mat, and move on with practice. Don't change a thing about it.

I love my eKO mat! I feel like I am practicing on the earth ... As it has a firmness from which I can create a solid grounding. While at the same time, I feel like I am practicing in the air ... As it has a spring from which I can establish my movement to expand upward and out. Its design is connected with the elements on so many levels!

Finally got to unwrap the eKO last week and try it out at several classes. It does not disappoint. The words "grip and comfort" truly apply; no hesitations moving into Urdhva Danurasana now even after a torrential downpour of sweat has drenched it. Balancing poses like Virabhadrasana 3 are facilitated with that cushioned layer of matting.

I have purchased all of the mats made by manduka,but the eKO mat is the best by far!!! I took it out of the packaging to the studio and it was great!!! no "breaking in" process!!! I LOVE THIS MAT SO MUCH,that I purchased 2 mats for my friends as gifts!!!Thank you for a fabulous yoga mat and also helping to keep the earth GREEN!!!

My Manduka eKO is as easy and sturdy as my favorite pair of cowboy boots! Always appropriate, always easy, always helps to cultivate that inner tapas.   It's also the only mat I'll put my 4 month old son on when we practice together, because I don't have to worry about harsh chemicals.

I now have three different Manduka mats and love them all! One of my biggest yoga problems is slippery hands, but with eKO mat totally eliminates that problem! The customer service is also fantastic. When I needed to add something to my most recent order, they took care of it no problem with a super speedy response! I will be definitely be recommending Manduka!

I needed a new yoga mat and did tons of research before investing in one. I kept reading about Manduka and decided to give you guys a try. I like the grip of rubber and was really attracted to the eKO mat because of that. I love it! I purchased it in acai, and the color and pattern on the mat are beautiful! It's grippy but still smooth enough that you can slide your foot through when moving from down dog to a lunge or warrior pose, for example. It has the right amount of spring and firmness, and I love the extra-long and extra-wide size. I am hooked. I will never buy another mat besides a Manduka mat!

I would like to say that using the Manduka eKO mat helped me accomplish my goal of getting more results for the time I spend doing my yoga practice. The extreme grip of the eKO causes more deep core support through the body, therefore building more strength, and making all the poses more effective than using a less whole-body engaging engaging product. The bonus is that it's eco-friendly, and good for the world around me as well as my inner world during my workouts. When it comes to sparking total body transformation and deeper core strength, there's no mat I'd rather have as my foundation.

I just got mine yesterday as a birthday present. It is absolutely fantastic. My husband has the black mat - and that is great, but a little too heavy for me to lug around and it reminds me of a gym mat.
This is beautiful and I can't wait to go to class tomorrow and use it!

I purchased this mat after going through 3 other cheap mats in a year and a half. I had done TONS of research because I wanted this mat to be the mat that lasts. Though I've never heard of anyone being completely satisfied with a yoga mat, I know that Manduka makes extremely high quality mats. I ruled out the Black Mat because I tried one out and found it to be a little too hard for me. I settled on this one and I could not be happier. I had always been dependent on using a mat towel on my previous mats but sometimes I get too tangled up and distracted with it. Though sometimes i get a little sweaty and slippery on the eKO, I'm not completely dependent on the towels anymore. It really has the perfect balance of cushion, support, and grip.

I've found my mat.

Wow! I am IN LOVE with the eKO mat. I have been telling everyone I know who practices yoga to go out and get one. The extra cushioning (as compared to mats I have practiced on before), and easy-to-clean closed cell rubber texturized surface are phenomenal. You will not be disappointed by this mat!

After using this mat couple of times, I threw it in the back of my closet because I was slipping and sliding all over the place. Saw a another practitioner using her mat in class and she convinced me to pull it back out and I"m so glad I did. The slippery finish went away after a few uses and now my Manduka eKO mat is my all time favorite mat! It's provides a solid foundation, comfort, grip, and most importantly supports an eco-friendly philosophy. With other eco-conscious mats I've felt I had to sacrifice performance, but not this mat! Lighter than the Pro, and better performance than the Pro-Lite. Love, love,love this mat. :)

I am very happy with this mat. No more slippery hands, painful wrists. Just the right grip + right cushioning.

Awesome mat! I was a bit frustrated at first with it being a little to slick on the seagrass surface but now that it's broken in a bit, I never want to get off it!

I recently purchased this mat at a Manduka-sponsered yoga event at my local Lifetime Fitness center. It is by far the best mat I've ever practiced with. I never realized how much more comfort the extra cushioning of a heavier mat can provide. An excellent product!

As someone with a Latex Allergy, I am SUPER scared of which mats I use, but this is definitely my soul mat. Heavy, might purchase eko lite travel mat for trips, but beginning my Hatha RYT training, i know I will not regret buying it! I actually was a fan of cheaper gaiam mats, but the support of this mat really is unmatched by any other. I bought the large mat bag to go with it, and it fits my towel, hand towel, mat wash and even keys, and a light weight change of clothes. Best purchase i've made in a long time:)

My eKO mat is great! I have been using it for 3 1/2 years. Which is the entire time that I have practiced yoga. I get on my mat and it becomes my sacred space. I have a brick red color, which they dont make anymore. Sadly, I have worn slick spots where my hands and feet go. And bubbles have formed where the top layer is separating. I guess that comes from being eco friendly. I hate to part with it. Now I can't decide between a new eKO mat or a PRO Black Dragon. Either way, I love Manduka mats!

Just got my Pro and Pro-lite mats yesterday. Did two yoga sessions on each to get the feel. Loved the thickness, weight, padding and fact that it is closed-cell material. The only thing is a concern is being SLIPPERY at the moment (I do not sweat while doing yoga). My understanding from some reviews I read that it is a temporary being new from the package and I really hope this problem will go away the more I use it. I will update you on that! :) Cheers

I LOVE this mat! My twin sister and I both bought one and we love it! It takes a little bit to break in, ( I slid a lot the first couple of times I practiced even with my mat towel before it got broken in ) but after you break the mat in, it works great! We've had our mats for almost a year and we love them!! I love how they are the most natural mat out there and contain no harsh chemicals! I recommend this mat to everyone! Great product!

I'm an experienced yogi, and for me, this mat went from 1 star to 5+ in a matter of one month. So it is all perfect now, but wonder is there any way to avoid one month of agony and frankly lots of doubts that you made a good product.
