use & care
To Store: Roll your Manduka PRO with the top side (fabric-like finish) facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat during practice.
To Break In: The surface texture of the Manduka PRO will improve with use. Our customers have found that the best way to “break in” their mat is to use it on a daily basis. Another trick is to sprinkle coarse sea salt over your mat, scrub it down with a sponge, and air dry in the sunshine.
To Clean: We recommend using Manduka Mat Renew or any non-solvent household cleaner and a damp cloth or sponge. Hang to dry in the sunshine. DO NOT put your mat in the washing machine- it may break the machine and ruin your mat!

Reviews always focus on the product which, based on the 9 pieces I ordered and tested including this mat, deserves its 5 of 5 star reviews. The towels, eye masks, mat, cases and everything else are all of exceptional quality, but the surprising factor was how outstanding the customer service was before, through and after the ordering process.
Manduka customer service (particularly Karin) went above and beyond my expectations, from knowledge on customs (I'm in Canada), to shipping advice, to order confirmations and even proactive shipment tracking notifications. They were considerate of my schedule and needs, and were also personable and courteous. I will never purchase yoga items from another company, solely based on the extraordinary customer service of Manduka.

I am a yoga novice and after a few months on my regular exercise mat was looking to make an investment in a good mat that would last. After lots of reseach I decided to give this mat a shot. Worth every penny. Very comfortable and sturdy. There was about a week breaking in period (about 6 classes) but after that no slipping at all. In fact, I've tried it with and without a Manduka towel for hot yoga, and I prefer it without. The color is great too. Very soothing green. I'd recommend this mat to anyone.
