Engineered for Sustainability high quality material will not peel, flake or fade; Longevity reduces consumption and landfill waste, Lifetime guarantee against wear & tear; Improves with use.
OEKO-TEX Certified Production for non-toxic emissions.
To Store: Roll your Manduka PRO with the top side (fabric-like finish) facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat during practice.
To Break In: The surface texture of the Manduka PRO will improve with use. Our customers have found that the best way to “break in” their mat is to use it on a daily basis. Another trick is to sprinkle coarse sea salt over your mat, scrub it down with a sponge, and air dry in the sunshine.
To Clean: We recommend using Manduka Mat Renew or any non-solvent household cleaner and a damp cloth or sponge. Hang to dry in the sunshine. DO NOT put your mat in the washing machine- it may break the machine and ruin your mat!
Manduka PRO series yoga mats, designed to last a lifetime (or two), curb the amount of PVC mats that enter landfills every year and reduces overall mat consumption. Also, during the manufacturing of most PVC products, toxic emissions may be released into the air. However, PRO series mats are manufactured through a process that ensures no toxic emissions are released into the atmosphere. The PRO series mats are certified safe for human contact by OEKO-TEX, an environmental certification agency in Europe for the textile industry.

I took a while deciding what mat to buy for the long-term, and I'm so glad I chose this one! The PRO support is incredible-- but it isn't too grippy or cushy, so it's perfect for my Ashtanga practice. The color is also beautiful, so serene. I've heard other reviewers remark on slippage issues with these mats, but I haven't had too many problems (just a little slipping in downward dog-- not a big issue considering this happens to me with other mats as well). My husband also just got a PROlite and loves it! Well done, Manduka. Thanks for an awesome mat!
First off let me say I happily own 2 black mat pros...yes 2!
I teach on them I practice on them and since I spend hours upon hours on them everyday it could be arrgued that I live on them.
I used to be a dance and fitness blogger and I have tried a lot of mats...a lot. Manduka pro is by far the best I've EVER TRIED bar none!
But it didn't really occur to me until I was a few months into practicing and was doing a very intense and sweaty advanced vinyasa class I was nearing the end of the practice, had been upside down and sideways, arm balanced to heck and as I pressed back into down dog I felt so strong and steady and I noticed for the first time that I was on a mat....and that's just it I had gone through the whole practice without ever having to think about by base.
That's when it dawned on me...that is what the manduka pro is all about. I never slip I never squish around I never hurt from the floor being too hard. It is goldilocks and it is always just right.
That being said bliss is a beautiful color that is closed cell and yes you "can" scrub everything off "TECHNICALLY"...it shows everything and btw...the edges of the mat are NOT closed cell and will discolor to a yucky yellowy brown if you are not very careful. This is more tailored to home practice not for teaching all day at dusty studios
