The South Bay Rocks! Operation Shanti

Join Los Angeles-based yoga teacher Garth Hewitt for this fund-raising event to help Operation Shanti build a new orphanage in Mysore, India. The donation-based yoga class will be held on March 31st from 3-5pm at the Hermosa Beach Community Center; all levels are welcome! There will also be an After Party with a DJ, food, an auction, and a raffle to follow, from 5-7pm.

Operation Shanti's Mission is...

To directly improve the lives of exploited, at-risk, destitute children and the forgotten, suffering elderly, enabling them to become "beacons of light" and share the same gifts of peace, goodwill, and generosity with others for the rest of their lifetimes.

We help the poorest and neediest children and elderly, and the forgotten destitute, with the basic human needs: food, shelter, medical services and educational assistance. As we believe that every human can and should stand on his/her own, we are there to help the destitute begin to help themselves.

Mantras, literally instruments of thought, are vibrations realized in sound that can help us recreate our inner world, re-connect with our divine nature and align with our soul’s deepest desires. During this BlissShop, we will learn how we can explore the use of mantra and music as tools for manifestation. Tadasana Festival - Santa Monica, CA - April 20-22, 2012

Celebrate Earth Day by attending this 3-day Yoga & Music Festival in Santa Monica, CA, April 20 - April 22. Yoga Journal Conference - New York City, April 12-16, 2012

The Yoga Journal Conference in New York is right around the corner! It will be held at the Hilton New York, and there are some amazing teachers going, like Manduka Ambassadors Dana Flynn, Natasha Rizopoulos, and Gary Kraftsow.

Manduka has joined up with Subaru in its Work, Play, Love Tour across the US! Subaru seeks to commend companies that promote a healthy balance between work and life, by visiting these companies all over the country and introducing them to the various ways that the Subaru Impreza can be the fuel efficient car of your lifestyle dreams.
