Mandala of Asanas
Learn Essential Tools for Teaching Vinyasa as Created by Shiva Rea
Part 1
November 18th - 20th
This 2 part module is open to anyone wanting to learn the physical and energetic alignment of yoga poses. If you are a yoga teacher wanting to enhance your teaching skills or if you are a yoga practitioner looking to deepen your understanding of yoga, you don't want to miss this weekend event. During this module, we will breakdown each pose to better understand the movements of prana, lines of energy, and relationship of opposites in the body. We will discuss and practice how to open and strengthen the core structures to create embodiment of each pose from head to toe. In addition, we will learn how certain poses are related and when connected together will enhance the opening, strengthening and awakening of the body, improving your personal practice and/or teaching skills.
This module is very interactive and there will be many opportunities to explore, collaborate and practice the following:
1) Hands-on Enhancements/Assists for all poses within the mandalas being covered during this weekend training part 1.
2) Relate hands-on to key actions within respective poses and show the connection to other pose families when possible.
3) Contemplate verbal cues for each asana within the mandalas being covered.
Mandala of Asana Part 1 has dual credit. It is part of the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga 200-300-500 hour program and it offers 16 YA approved continuing eduction hours.
