Belly Bliss with Candice Garrett
The pelvic floor is the foundation and true center of all poses. Learn about the anatomy of the female pelvic floor, how it is affected by pregnancy, birth and postpartum and how to address using yoga. You will learn exercises specific to pregnancy and postpartum for the purpose of preparation for and rehabilitation from birth. We will discuss how to safely rehabilitate the abdominals postpartum without causing further weakness in the pelvic floor.
This workshop includes anatomy, handouts, practice and partner work and is appropriate for all students and teachers wishing to deepen their knowledge in this area of study.
Babies up to six months are welcome to attend with their mothers. Registration and payment required by September 20th as the instructor is traveling from California to be here. Cost is $55 per person.
