Production Manager - Yoga Mats, Towels, Bags, and Accessories

As a Production Manager for the Manduka brand, you will be responsible for the planning, tracking and managing the global manufacturing of world class yoga products. You’ll be part of the product team, interfacing daily with Product Designers, Product Line Managers and global manufacturing partners. You have stellar organizational skills, a keen ability to manage multiple factories while possessing a strong track record for on time delivery.

Core Responsibilities:

-Ownership of the entire production process from sales samples through to bulk production

-Ensure that new products are engineered in accordance with the requirements stated in the production tech packs

-Clearly communicate with global manufacturing partners on a daily basis

-Troubleshoot all foreseeable problems and work to solve all production issues

-Plan and track the production schedule for all products by factory to ensure on time delivery

-Must possess sharp negotiating skills to drive final costs and on time delivery

-Responsible for issuing Purchase orders, track/update weekly reports

-Partners with manufactures to develop new materials, construction techniques, process and samples to create innovative seasonal product

-Take the lead with manufactures in enforcing adherence to global quality standards, timelines, and on time delivery

-Lead all internal and external QC and take initiative in solving to any issues and communicating to the appropriate parties

-Works in partnership with Product Development to ensure all required labels and markings are on products

-Develop strong relationships with internal and external partners such as Design, PLM, Product Development, Demand Planning and Sales in achieving overall business goals

-Communicate and coordinate all necessary information internally and externally that supports calendars for sales samples and production

-Address the challenges and plan according to deliver proven and tested product for commercialization

-Identify and manage the appropriate product testing requirements (3rd party lab) as part of the pre-production process


-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, production, engineering or related field

-3 - 5 years minimum experience in production management position

-Strong verbal and communication skills

-Clear understanding and solid working knowledge of the tools that support the production process

-Excellent analytical skills

-Demonstrated development and project management skills

-Ability to clearly articulate policies and instructions

-Creative problems solving skills and results orientation

-Innovative problems solver

-Passionate about yoga product

-Detail oriented and able to manage multiple timelines

Technical Skills:

-Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and other project management programs

-Work experience in accessories and gear industry with a good materials knowledge

-Strong knowledge of global manufacturing standards as well as import/export policies
