Coordinated by the American Liver Foundation®, the Liver Life Challenge (LLC) is an endurance event training program that promotes awareness of liver disease and raises money to fund critical liver research.

The American Liver Foundation has teamed up with athletes of all levels since 1988 when the first team trained for the Boston Marathon. Today, Liver Life Challenge event teams are forming all over the country to train together while helping the 30 million Americans fighting liver disease.

In January 2011, the Connecticut Division of LLC will bring 12 runners, including one transplant recipient, to Disney World to run the full and half marathons on behalf of the American Liver Foundation. Each runner raised a minimum of $3,000 to participate in the program, which will help to fund educational programs and essential research for a cure for liver disease. The top fundraiser will receive a yoga mat donation from Manduka.
