Jess Lewis-Peltier is a practicing naturopath, medicinal herbalist and yoga teacher who blends ancient healing practices with modern-day science to create a practical approach to holistic health. Her background in Biochemistry gives her a unique perspective on how alternative healing works to aid the body’s innate ability to self-heal. She has given lectures, taught classes, workshops and private consultations on herbal and holistic healing around the country. Jess is a contributing expert for Yogamint and also writes for several online publications including Ecomii.
Jess lives and practices in Los Angeles where she creates herbal formulations, gives lectures, workshops and classes on herbal/naturopathic healing, breathing exercises, energy work, meditation and yoga. She’s currently working on her new book which will focus on teaching a practical approach of healing through energy, nutrition and science.
"I’ve always had a passion for the healing arts and first began botanical studies in 1995 to become a herbal healer. It wasn’t long before my desire to inspire others toward better health brought me to the transformative modality of yoga. My journey of self-discovery through yoga has not always been an easy one. Trouble with body image and an eating disorder caused me deep challenges but through all of them, I have been able to love and continue to heal myself through yoga. My passion is to empower all yogi/nis to become even healthier and truly embrace their shapes through yoga and meditation.
